In 1940 Americans (who were tired of war, rightly so, but blinded by that tiredness) called for peace talks with Hitler, they said “Hitler only wants back what Germany lost in the War” “America should stay out of Europes problems”. Roosevelt knew this was a problem and bypassed Congress every chance he could in support of Churchill. History is repeating itself! We cannot stay out of Putins desire for global rule! We must stop it swiftly and early!
3ºJoe Weber I think you are confusing Prime Minister Chamberlains peace talks with Hitler. By 1940 Hitler had already invaded Europe starting in Poland in 1938. Your understanding of this needs to be revisited. So it is laughable that you would suggest I am not educated on history in the same post you are making factually incorrect statements. I am of Russian heritage, have family and friends in both Ukraine and Russia, visited Russia many times and have done business there. The lack of understanding of the background of Russia and Ukraine is astounding. Putin does not want world domination that is laughable. He simply did not want further NATO expansion. He drew the line with Ukraine and we knew it but chose to provoke him by using Ukraine and supplying them with weapons on their border. We also supported a coup in 2014 of a democratically elected President of Ukraine in 2014 and the war in the Donbas region. You know little. Please educate yourself and please do not respond. I do not have time to waste further on you.

5ºMonica Tessa it amazes me that no one is forcing these 2 countries to negotiate. One reason is that Zelensky refuses to discuss negotiations until all Russian troops leave Ukraine territory including Crimea. Putin will never do that but the US has leverage on Zelensky but refuses to use it. I found it interesting that after Zelensky visited the flooded area yesterday, Russia put a missile into the building he visited. A clear message they can take him out if needed. In absence of concessions and peace talks, Putin will destroy Ukraine piece by piece. In my opinion the US provoked this war by its continuance of NATO expansion. We knew Putin drew the line with Ukraine. Our own state department experts told Presidents dating back to Bush that this was the case yet we let Zelensky antagonize Putin. He is now paying a heavy price.

8ºEastern Ukrainians disagree and feel they are fighting for their freedom as well. The country should have been divided 8 years ago in the interest of peace. Instead Western Ukraine committed atrocities for 7 years and no one cared. Russia steps in to save Eastern Ukrainians from being wiped out by NATO backed insurgencies and suddenly everyone is upset over war.
I don't particularly like either side but Western Ukrainian was the one attacking everyone who disagrees with them, they didn't do ANYTHING to reconcile the conflict. Instead they wasted BILLIONS renaming streets and cities, destroying monuments, removing Russian as one of the official languages, and giving power to radicals who did nothing but inflame the entire situation.
I don't feel sorry for corrupt Ukraine at all. Russia isn't good either. They deserve each other.
