An ER doctor vanished after leaving work in Missouri. Nine days later, a kayaker found him dead in Arkansas

He sent a text to his fiancée, then abruptly stopped responding to messages. That’s the last time his loved ones heard from him.

Stephanie BeirneI was thinking the same thing. Nobody robbed him. Nobody took his wallet, phones, or even his car. He was on camera and no one forced him out of his vehicle. No one was with him (initially) when he exited his car and walked off. Why did he go there? Did he meet someone there? If so, why leave all that important stuff in your car with it unlocked? Leaving a vehicle unlocked with ALL your personal info in it, seems like you want someone to find you/ID you pretty quickly. Maybe someone killed him, but I don’t know.

Susan Torres Macias So far I think it was a suicide rather than homicide. The guy had 8 kids who seem to live in different states that he had to fly around to visit them and had to pay a lot of child support. And he was gonna get married and start a new family again with new responsibilities and expectations. That’s a lot of lot of stress and financial burden for him. Maybe he was already planning to end his life somehow and get rid of these problems but he made sure to make it look like some kidnapping took place by texting his fiancée normally and leaving his phones and stuff.

The doctor, identified as Dr. Joshua Hull, was last seen leaving his shift at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri on May 10th. He did not show up for work the next day and his family reported him missing.
Authorities launched a search for Dr. Hull and his car was found abandoned in a remote area of Arkansas on May 12th. The search continued for several days until a kayaker discovered his body in the Buffalo National River on May 19th.
The cause of Dr. Hull's death has not been released, but foul play is not suspected at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Dr. Hull was described as a dedicated physician who was loved by his patients and colleagues. His sudden and tragic death has left many in shock and mourning
