Cruise ship Carnival Sunshine was rocked by a storm over the weekend, frightening passengers and delaying the ship’s return to port in Charleston, South Carolina, and the departure of its next voyage.

CrapNival Cruise Line; people & passengers are just a commodity! they wanted to get back to that port; to unload & reload so they can make that money, in spite of safety... Now it will cost them repairs, reparations & reputation... That ship is probably still anchored during the clean up.. These cruise line companies can operate short sighted.. Because as for the far sighted; they know its a wrist slap because no one died... in regard to passengers; the need to be In a cheesy & gross cruise will always have its draw & willing vacationers.. Cuz it's easy to cruise & be cheesy..
(just wait til a new outbreak of the Covid super virus is created by the gross)... not if, but when

Robert Flood You get what you pay for. Cruises are awesome. Your room and all your meals, as well as transportation to different ports. For a small upcharge, or sometimes as a free offer, all drinks included. If you figure what it would cost to eat in a restaurant 3 times a day, it's worth it to splurge on a larger cabin. I've done inside economy, and suite with balcony. Of course the suite with balcony was a much better experience. I'd cruise again any time, but we've been going to Japan on all our vacations, because it's just amazing

Marjorie Sell I would imagine while the passengers were asked to remain in their cabins, if any crew were wearing life vests it would’ve been the ones that needed to pass through the outside to access other areas of the ship. It’s my understanding the water damage was due to a busted clean water pipe that was damaged from items knocking into it. It wasn’t from ocean water. It happened on deck 2 and flooded down to deck 1 and got the crew area. The crew are trained in maintenance and they have engineers. A lot of repairs to the ships are done in different ports when they dock during cruises. This is no different. I’m sure they had the water extracted and carpet ripped up before the last passenger debarked. My last cruise the toilet wouldn’t open and the water wouldn’t stop they had 10 people at the cabin in a matter of minutes. Repaired, water cleaned up, and blowers going with guest services calling to offer me another cabin in 10 minutes.

I imagine it was scary for people to experience the boat rocking so he’s on the waves and hearing the dishes and glasses break. I also imagine that the captain would’ve gone around the storm if he logically could’ve but the satellite image of the storm shows that it was massive and fell all along the eastern coast.
