Royal Caribbean postpones inaugural ship sailing after 8 crew members test positive for Covid-19

The positive tests come as major cruises lines are finally starting to set sail for the first time since the pandemic halted their movements

N.B.: These crew members who have contracted Covid tested negative at before being allowed to board the vessel. Why is this important? Because RCL, MSC and other cruise lines that are accepting unvaccinated children as passengers are, along with their parents, creating an unnecessary risk to their health, both onboard and while traveling to/from the port of embarkation. It is a sad commentary to read posts and Tweets from some travel writers/bloggers dismissing these risks, especially if the unvaccinated person is asymptomatic or has mild symptoms, because we know very well at this point that there are long term debilitating effects for those patients. I support those crew lines which are requiring every passenger and crew member to have proof of vaccination, including NCL, PONANT and Windstar; the others are putting short term profit before health and safety. https://www.washingtonpos...A5ce4TO28gpCHds
