1ºThese Arabic countries are governed under rule of religion. That's how they base thier laws. In no other country do we put God's words and wisdom into daily living like Muslim based countries. Although I disagree about his sentence, it did say he was going to try and kill some people and that means he was violent. He needed to be locked up regardless of age but whether in other country or here in the United States being hard on criminals needs to top priority. If we slap thier hand they do it again and again but if you punish them like they should be they are less likely to offend again. Just because this guy was 17 doesn't mean he did mean harm. Most likely he would of continued to plot and perhaps become even more dangerous. Maybe if we executed more dangerous criminals they wouldn't have the opportunity to get out and hurt or kill again. We have a guy here where I live who killed his 5 year old son and was found guilty this pass week, he faces life in prison but also get his fair share of appeals. There are no appeals for the little boy but he will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison. Why not just put him to death? A eye for a eye. Remember his child is dead. He also has lead them numerous places he elegantly put the body but has never been found. So this child lays somewhere thrown away like a piece of garbage. Even some animals will try and bury thier offspring. We need to have capital punishment.
2ºEach country does thing differently. I have seen in the U.S and West, terrorists and criminals stay in prison to waste taxpayers money, then they committed crime again after release.
Saudi will kill any criminal that they identified as threat to the Royal family, gov and society to ensure no regret in the future.
I see negative and positive from both approachs. There is no right or wrong answer. Wherever u live, u follow its rule. If u dont like, then leave if possible. Dont be a judge to any situation where u dont have a good understanding of why they r doing what they are doing since they can make a good case, it can be as good as ur case if u can comprehensive.

4ºThe death penalty is problematic for multiple reasons , the common argument I hear when it comes to the death penalty is “it will deter crime because people are scared”
That’s a very huge misconception because we need to remember 2 things
1. Human beings don’t commit crimes with intent on being caught
2. A very large number of crimes are committed in the heat of the moment eg people argue and then the one murders the other
So the deterrence you seek isn’t really there.
What’s important is that we put an emphasis on rehabilitation so we can better reintegrate individuals into society and make them understand the gravity of the harm they caused.
Because all individuals are born tabula rasa and are the way they are as a result of how they are socialized so everyone deserves a chance to be reformed and made a better person.
You should pay for your crimes yes but we get the most out of the justice system if we put an emphasis on rehabilitating individuals.

Is a weak argument when:
SPA quoted the Saudi Ministry of Interior as saying al-Darwish "launched an armed revolt against the ruler and destabilized security in this country by forming a terrorist network with the aim of killing security personnel, causing riots, provoking chaos, sectarian strife, making bombs with the intention of the breach with some members of that cell."
Just saying, they both have a, whatcha call it? Deplorable disregard for life.
Only difference is that the 'terrorist' in question is, sorry, was probably more in favor of western politics, than other people living in that regime.
Unless of course the torture brought on a false confession, and the unlucky guy was just a scapegoat, but seeing as the defence went for a 'he was a minor' defence, I'm assuming it wasn't a false confession.
6ºPeople are being killed across this country we call America every day. From the East Coast to the west from the north to the south senseless murders are occurring because of the antiquated laws and there’s not the outrage that it should be .We are trying to mind somebody else’s business in another country and we can’t get our stuff together in our our own. What happened to this young man was absolutely tragic and should not of happened but what are we doing for the countless number of young men and women and children that are being killed right here on this soil In the USA.
7ºCNN will cover news but will forget to uncover the killings of innocent prisoners in America. Even as that Mustafa al-Darwish as they said could have been either 17 or 18 when the crime was committed. Committing a crime as an 18 year could lead to his death. I'm against his killing because this is very disgusting but to spread it like the boy was innocent is just a way of tarnishing the Arab world but you forget so soon about the killing of innocent George Stinney, James Arcene, and other twenty-two juvenile offenders who have been executed while 82 remain on death row as type. It's a pity you guys only show us the good side of America....

I was working as a lecturer at Al-Istiklal University and I had a doctorate in mental health from Mutah University. I lost control of my car, but such a mistake might happen in any country in the world and be interpreted as a traffic error, but in Palestine you pay your life for it without verifying the validity of the claim and our blood goes wasted .
